With the new refuge guide released yesterday, I buy a copy and we head for shade at Chorreras.  There’s some easier things for Ric while catering for Eoin & myself.  I open the ever more polished Na Fen, 5+ at the start of the wall – a tough little 5+ if ever there was one, and it only has one bolt to lower off from.  With Ric, Eoin and me all doing different things, we manage to tick most routes here, though I still have pending one untried 6b+ and one untried 6c… the rest of the wall will have been onsighted or redpointed.  In no particular order I tick Jass, 6b (a bit nails this one, but the onsight nicer for it) Abracadabra, 6b+ (worked, some powerful moves – redpointable when fresh) Po Zi, 5+ redpoint repeat from June, a new onsight Slalom, 6c what an accurate name for the rounded slopey route, Glutamato, 5 flashed from Ric’s great onsight, and a quick onsight of No Os Dormais, 6a at the end of the wall.  I read the guide wrong when last here with Verónica, this was never climbed then – sorry Vero!

Here’s Eoin after sending Jass, 6b:

Having run out of water, it’s time to return to the car and thin about where we’re going to pitch the tent…
